Conversion Tracking

Measure whether contacts who entered a campaign later join or leave a selected segment.

Campaign conversion tracking lets you define an optional success goal independently from the campaign workflow. A campaign can run without a conversion goal, and adding or changing a goal does not create a campaign draft or require publishing a new workflow version.

Configure a conversion goal

Open the campaign and select the Editor tab. In the editor's Overview panel, find the Conversion Goal card and select the pencil button.

In the Conversion Tracking panel:

  1. Turn on Track conversions.
  2. Choose whether conversion means the contact joins a segment or leaves a segment.
  3. Select the segment.
  4. Select Save.

You need write access to the workspace to change conversion tracking.

How campaign conversions are attributed

A segment change counts as a campaign conversion only when all of the following are true:

  • the contact has a live, conversion-eligible execution for the campaign
  • that execution started while the matching conversion goal was active
  • the contact joins or leaves the configured segment after entering the campaign
  • the execution has not already converted

Joining or leaving the segment without running through the campaign does not count. A segment transition that starts a campaign also cannot convert that same execution because the conversion event must occur after campaign entry.

If a contact has multiple eligible, unconverted executions for the same campaign goal, Leadpush attributes the event to the most recent execution. Each execution can convert only once.

Conversions can be recorded while an eligible execution is active or after it has completed, failed, or been cancelled.

Settings apply only to future executions

Conversion tracking does not look back. Existing campaign executions remain untracked when you enable conversion tracking.

Changing the goal creates a new conversion-settings revision. Only live executions started under the new revision can meet the new goal. Unconverted executions tied to the previous revision do not become eligible for the new goal, while conversions already recorded remain unchanged.

Disabling conversion tracking stops new executions from becoming eligible. It does not remove previously recorded conversions.

Simulated executions are never eligible for campaign conversions.

Review conversion reporting

Open the campaign's Overview tab and choose a date range. The Conversions card shows:

  • the number of eligible executions that converted
  • the percentage of eligible executions that converted
  • a trend of conversions grouped by the execution's campaign-entry date

The conversion rate is calculated as:

converted eligible executions / all eligible executions

The selected date range is based on when executions entered the campaign, not when the conversion happened. A later conversion updates the original entry-date cohort. Legacy executions, simulations, and executions created while tracking was disabled are excluded from the eligible denominator.

Filter individual executions

Open the campaign's Executions tab to review conversion status per run. The Conversion column shows whether each execution converted.

Use the Conversion filter to select:

  • Converted
  • Not converted

Not converted includes eligible executions that have not converted as well as legacy, untracked, and simulated executions.

Manage segments used by conversion goals

A segment cannot be deleted while an active campaign conversion goal references it. Change or disable the affected campaign goals before deleting the segment.

Current goal support

Campaign conversion tracking currently supports one goal per campaign:

  • contact joins a selected segment
  • contact leaves a selected segment

Campaign goals do not currently have an attribution window.

Best practices

  • Choose a segment that represents a meaningful outcome rather than routine activity.
  • Configure the goal before the campaign begins accepting the executions you want to measure.
  • Avoid changing goals in the middle of a reporting period unless you intentionally want a new eligible cohort.
  • Use the Overview tab for aggregate conversion performance and Executions for contact-level investigation.
