Audience and Delivery
Choose who receives the newsletter, how segment rules apply, and how quickly the send should go out.
The Audience step controls who receives the newsletter and how aggressively Leadpush should send it.
Choose the recipient type
Leadpush supports two recipient modes:
- All, which sends to all contacts
- Segments, which limits the send using saved segment rules
Use segments when you need targeting logic that is more specific than the full contact list.
Target by segment
When you choose Segments, Leadpush lets you configure segment inclusion rules for the newsletter audience.
This is the right place to:
- include specific segments
- exclude specific segments
- build send eligibility from saved audience definitions instead of one-off lists
For complex targeting, prepare the segment logic first in Segments.
Set subscription preference
The newsletter audience also includes a Subscription Preference setting.
You can choose:
SubscribedSubscribed & Unsubscribed
If unsubscribed contacts are included, Leadpush shows a warning on the page so the choice is explicit before sending.
Control send rate
The Send Rate section controls how quickly the newsletter is delivered.
You can choose:
- As Fast as Possible
- Throttle
If you choose Throttle, you also set:
- a maximum send amount
- a period of
minute,hour, orday
Use throttling when you want a slower rollout or when operational constraints make a limited send rate safer.
Best practices
- Prefer saved segments over ad hoc audience logic when the same targeting will be reused.
- Double-check whether unsubscribed contacts should ever be included before moving to review.
- Use throttling deliberately. If you do not need it, keep the send rate normal.
- Revisit segment inputs if the audience does not match the intended lifecycle stage or campaign goal.
