Segment Entered Trigger
Start a campaign when a contact starts matching a selected segment.
The Segment Entered Trigger starts a campaign when a contact enters a selected segment.
When to use it
Use this trigger when campaign entry depends on reusable audience logic.
Common examples:
- entering a lifecycle stage
- becoming eligible for a promotion
- joining a re-engagement audience
- matching a product-interest segment
Settings
- Segment: the segment that should start the campaign.
- Frequency: controls whether a contact can re-enter when they match the segment again.
Simulation and execution behavior
Simulations use the selected sample contact. Real executions run when Leadpush detects that a contact has entered the configured segment.
The segment definition is managed separately from the campaign. If the segment logic changes, future campaign entry can change too.
Best practices
- Use clearly named segments so the trigger is easy to understand later.
- Avoid broad segments unless every matching contact should enter the campaign.
- Review re-entry rules carefully for segments that contacts may leave and rejoin.
